Point S: The largest independent tyre network is stepping strongly into Greece
The global Point S network
A network of independent professionals under a common brand (strong purchasing power).
Active in 51 countries, with more than 6,700 service locations.
Includes its own private-label tyre range (designed & produced in Europe).
In Greece, the project has started and is being run by TENORA (Turnikiotis Group).
Point S: From France to the world’s largest network
Point S began as an idea in 1971 in France, when a group of independent tyre dealers decided to join forces in order to strengthen their bargaining power (and brand name) towards tyre manufacturers.
Fifty-five years later, the Point S Groupis the largest independent tyre and car-service network in the world, with a presence in around 51 countries, over 6,700 points of sale and retail sales that exceed €4.2 billion and 19 million tyres per year.
The philosophy of the network is simple: independent entrepreneurs who keep their own identity while operating under a common umbrella of brand, purchasing, marketing and know-how. The global Point S network is active in 51 countries, with more than 6,700 service locations.
A store that becomes a member of the Point S network gains on three main levels: 1. Purchasing & product
Central agreements are made with major tyre and parts manufacturers, while at the same time there is an in-house Point S tyre range (summer, winter, all season) produced exclusively in Europe, in cooperation with a major European manufacturer.
2. Image & marketing
All members gain a strong, unified corporate identity (logo, colours, signage), support in digital marketing and promotion, social media presence and brand campaigns – even participation in international communication activities.
3. Organisation & B2B support
Access to IT tools (via B2B platforms, CRM/ERP), training, and exchange of best practices between countries. There is also the possibility to serve fleets and leasing customers, thanks to an international design and "international key-account" policy for major clients.
The Point S project in Greece, driven by TENORA (Turnikiotis Group)
Behind the development of Point S in Greece is TENORA of the Turnikiotis Group, a very well-known player in the tyre and after-sales market.
The goal of the initiative is to build a network of cooperating tyre dealers and vulcanisers that will operate with Point S standards and image, making use of:
-the purchasing power and international agreements of the network,
-the private-label Point S Tyres range,
-the marketing and training tools already used in other European countries.
It is worth noting that the first collaborations with selected shops have already begun. These stores are now the "core" of the Greek network and the basis for its further expansion.
What it means for tyre shops, dealers and fleets
In practice, the tyre dealer or vulcaniserremains "the boss" in their own shop, while also having the backing and support of an international organisation. In the long run, this also benefits the end customer, since better B2B agreements lead to more competitive pricing in retail services.
For fleets and the B2B audience, a growing Point S network in Greece (9 members) means:
1. unified service quality,
2. access to both private-label and premium-brand tyres,
3. coordinated service capabilities in many regions of the country.
Autotriti-Elastikawill return with updates as soon as there is further news on the development of the new network in Greece.
