Name, identity and design
ZEEKR was launched as an independent brand within the Geely ecosystem, to compete with the world’s leading luxury EV manufacturers. Its name derives from “ZE” (Zero Emissions), “E” (Electric / Evolving), and “Kr” (Krypton, symbolizing rarity and power).
The company has invested heavily in innovation, developing its own EV platforms, 800V electrical architecture, autonomous driving systems and high-end design.
ZEEKR’s design studio is located in Gothenburg, Sweden, led by Stefan Sielaff (ex-Bentley, Audi), shaping its Scandinavian-inspired identity. Meanwhile, its smart factories in China utilize gigapress technology for high precision and lower weight.

Within just four years, ZEEKR has become one of the fastest-growing premium EV manufacturers, with over 220,000 units sold globally by 2024. Its European base is in the Netherlands, with operations in Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

ZEEKR 001: A shooting brake model (sporty coupe with wagon practicality), 4,955 mm long, featuring high-tech design and premium features.
ZEEKR X: A compact SUV, 4,432 mm long, with a premium look, ideal for urban mobility.
ZEEKR 7X: A mid-size family SUV, 4,787 mm long, offering spaciousness, technology and elegant design.
The brand is also developing new models based on SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture), supporting future solid-state battery tech.
Innovation and technology
ZEEKR integrates its own ZEEKR OS, with Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, AI features, advanced ADAS, and Qualcomm 8295 infotainment system.
All vehicles support ultra-fast 800V charging (10–80% in 15 minutes), with batteries sourced from CATL and SVOLT.
It also explores battery swapping, autonomous functions, and cloud-based connectivity, placing ZEEKR alongside Tesla, Lucid, and BMW i in tech leadership.
Target audience and market outlook
