Morris Garages, or MG, is one of the most historic names in British motoring, founded in 1924 in Oxford. Initially, it became known for producing lightweight, affordable sports cars, such as the MG A, MG B, and MG TF, which defined British roadster culture from the 1930s to the 1970s.
After a period of transitions, the brand was acquired in 2007 by SAIC Motor, the largest car manufacturer in China and one of the top 10 globally. Under SAIC, MG underwent a complete transformation and now has a presence in over 100 countries, with 14 production facilities and design and R&D centers in Europe. Today, MG is considered one of the most successful comeback stories in the automotive world, focusing on electrification, smart connectivity, and premium-level build quality.
The new era of MG motor in Greece
MG Motor Hellas officially launched in 2023, with Syggelidis Group as the exclusive importer. A trusted name in the Greek automotive market, the Syggelidis Group already represents Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Opel, and Mazda — bringing MG into a strong commercial network with deep industry experience.
The MG Greece network currently includes 29 customer service points, 10 in Athens and 19 across regional Greece, including Thessaloniki, Larissa, Heraklion, Chania, Rhodes, and Alexandroupoli. It provides nationwide coverage for sales, service, and spare parts, making it one of the most extensive support networks among new car brands — and it continues to expand to meet rising demand.
